THE GONDIA EDUCATION SOCIETY

Acutely aware of the power of knowledge to leads one to a successful and happy life, Late Manoharbhai Patel vowed to bring the rivers of knowledge to the people of Bhandara District. When he chose to embark on this mission, Bhandara district was lagging far behind the other regions of Maharashtra in education. With the cooperation of other like-minded people in the region Gondia Education Society was founded in 1958 which set up its first degree college – NMD Arts & Commerce College – at Gondia. It is registered under Society’s Act & Bombay Public Trust Act. – F. 47 (Registration No. B/95/1958). In a brief span of fifty years, the society has been able to establish a network of 17 Degree Colleges, 12 Junior Colleges, 12 High Schools, a Military School and a CBSE School. Gondia Education Society is contributing enormously to the field of education and thus rendering a yeoman’s service to the society in general under the patronage of Hon’ble Shri. Praful Patel, MP & Former Union Minister.
